Frequently asked questions

  • Use of blood thinners within 48 hours or prescription acne meds (Retinoids) or skin sensitizing medications (antibiotics like Tetracycline or Doxycycline) within 7 days of wax! No sunburnt or windburnt skin. Must be off accutane for at least 12 months before you can be waxed.

  • Absolutely! We do require that you wear a tampon for sanitary purposes. Also be aware, due to hormones, your service may be more uncomfortable during this time.  It’s not an absolute, but a definite possibility. Some people notice no difference during their cycle while others report a difference in pain/discomfort

  • We recommend you are thoroughly hydrated prior to your wax, hydrated skin releases the hair so much easier. You also want your hair between 1/4 an inch to 1/2 an inch (a grain of rice) for your waxing appointment for optimal results. We suggest loose clothing or bringing a pair or new underwear to put on after if you are sensitive to ingrown hairs.
